Redang Island can be accessed by public ferry services from Shahbandar Jetty to Village Jetty. Sejahtera Ferry Services Sdn Bhd operates these services, and their schedules and reservation information can be obtained by contacting them at +60(9) 622 5233. It is essential to arrive at the jetty 30 minutes before the actual departure time to ensure a smooth boarding process. Please note that ferry services are available from March to October every year, making it an ideal time for visitors to plan their trip. The ferry ride takes approximately two hours, during which visitors can enjoy breathtaking views of the sea and surrounding islands. With reliable and efficient ferry services, getting to Redang Island has never been easier.

Traveling to Redang Island has never been easier with the availability of public speedboat services from Merang Waterfront Jetty to Laguna Jetty. Merang Waterfront Jetty is conveniently located just 45 minutes away from Kuala Terengganu City. The boat ride from the mainland to Redang Island takes approximately 45 minutes, allowing visitors to enjoy breathtaking views of the sea and surrounding islands along the way. It's important to arrive at the jetty 30 minutes before the actual departure time to ensure a smooth boarding process. Please note that speedboat services are available from March to October every year, making it an ideal time for visitors to plan their trip. With efficient and reliable services, visitors can sit back, relax and enjoy a stress-free journey to Redang Island.

Marine Park Conservation Fee

As part of our government's efforts to preserve and protect the marine ecosystem of Redang Island, a conservation fee has been implemented. The fee will be utilized towards the management and maintenance of the Redang Island Marine Park, with a focus on providing visitors with top-notch facilities and amenities to enhance their experience. This conservation fee is a small contribution that visitors can make towards the preservation and protection of the marine life and environment on the island. It is essential to maintain the beauty and natural resources of Redang Island for future generations to enjoy.

Self-Drive

Redang Island is a beautiful tropical getaway located off the east coast of Malaysia in the state of Terengganu. Visitors who prefer to drive themselves can easily set their GPS to either Merang Waterfront Jetty or Syahbandar Jetty. Both jetties provide parking facilities for those who require it. For added convenience, most resorts on Redang Island offer holiday packages that include a boat or ferry transfer. This allows guests to enjoy a seamless and hassle-free journey from the mainland to the island, without having to worry about transportation arrangements.

 

Commercial Flight

  • From Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) to Kuala Terengganu via Malaysia Airlines

  • From Kuala Lumpur International Airport 2 (KLIA2) to Kuala Terengganu via AirAsia

  • From Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah Airport (Subang Airport) to Kuala Terengganu via Firefly & Malindo Air

  • From Singapore: Currently, there are no direct flights from Singapore to Kuala Terengganu. All flights from Singapore transit through Kuala Lumpur. The entire journey from Changi Airport, Singapore to Kuala Terengganu Airport will take approximately 3 hours and 20 minutes.

 

Note: Kindly take note that the travel time may vary depending on the designated aircraft carriers that have been taken to fly to Kuala Terengganu Airport.
